Exact
  • AG13 — Alkaline label — same size as LR44
  • A76 — Energizer
  • 76A — Duracell
  • LR1154 — IEC-style label
  • L1154 — Alternate alkaline marking
  • G13 — Legacy alkaline retail label

Conditional alternatives

  • SR44 — Silver oxide — higher voltage stability, longer life
  • 357 — Silver oxide equivalent (SR44W/SW)
  • 303 — Low-drain silver oxide in the same size class

Do not use

Not Compatible
  • LR41 — LR41 is smaller (7.9mm diameter) — will not fit LR44 compartments
  • LR1130 — Same 11.6 mm diameter but only 3.0 mm thick — will lose contact in LR44 holders
  • ZA675 — 675 zinc-air shares the outline but is for hearing aids only
  • CR2032 — CR2032 is a 3V, 20 mm lithium coin — not an LR44 size or voltage

A76Compatible

A76 is Energizer's LR44 alkaline equivalent name

LR41Not Compatible

LR41 is smaller (7.9mm diameter) — will not fit LR44 compartments

LR1130Not Compatible

Same 11.6 mm diameter but only 3.0 mm thick — will lose contact in LR44 holders

ZA675Not Compatible

675 zinc-air shares the outline but is for hearing aids only

CR2032Not Compatible

CR2032 is a 3V, 20 mm lithium coin — not an LR44 size or voltage

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use CR2032 instead of LR44?

No. CR2032 is a 3V, 20 × 3.2 mm lithium coin. LR44 is a 1.5V, 11.6 × 5.4 mm alkaline button. See [CR2032 vs LR44](/compare/cr2032-vs-lr44/).

Are LR44 and AG13 the same?

Yes. AG13 is a common alkaline label for the LR44 size (11.6 × 5.4 mm, 1.5V).

Is A76 the same as LR44?

Yes. A76 is Energizer's equivalent name for the LR44/AG13 alkaline button cell. Duracell often prints 76A.

Can I use 357 instead of LR44?

Often yes for size-compatible devices. 357 is silver oxide (1.55V) and typically outlasts alkaline LR44 in watches and precision instruments.

LR44 vs SR44 — which should I buy?

Same physical size. LR44 is alkaline (cheaper, voltage sags sooner). SR44/357 is silver oxide — prefer it for watches, calipers, and meters.

Can I use LR44 in a watch?

It often fits, but alkaline voltage sag can make a quartz watch run slow or stop early. Silver oxide 357/SR44 is the better long-term choice.

Is LR44 the same as LR1130?

No. Both are about 11.6 mm wide, but LR44 is 5.4 mm thick and LR1130 is only ~3.0 mm thick. They are not interchangeable.

Should I always trust cross-reference charts?

Use this guide as a starting point, then confirm with your device manual. Chemistry and voltage must match for safe operation.

Selection notes

For toys and casual electronics, alkaline LR44 is fine. For watches and meters, upgrade to silver oxide 357/SR44 for stable voltage. Do not buy hearing-aid 675 cells just because the outline looks similar.
