About PlainBattery
PlainBattery is a free English-language battery cross-reference guide for coin cells, watch batteries, and cylindrical cells. The method is to match the marking on the spent cell — voltage, chemistry, and physical size — before specifying a replacement.
Charts are compiled from IEC naming, manufacturer datasheets, and common retail labels (DL, ECR, AG, 357, 377). Near-matches that are not drop-ins are flagged, such as LIR2032 next to CR2032, or LR44 next to silver oxide 357.
Each reviewed model and comparison identifies the source documents and the fields checked. Read the Sources & Methodology, Editorial Policy, and Technical Review Desk profile.
What we do not do
We do not sell batteries. A listing on this site is a size and chemistry match, not a guarantee for a specific device. Always confirm the code on the spent cell or in the device manual.
Advertising
The site may show Google AdSense ads once advertising is enabled. Ads are hidden until those IDs are configured. Editorial specs are written independently of any advertiser. See the Privacy Policy for cookies and analytics.
